About HealthCalcs

Free, accurate health and fitness tools — no sign-ups, no tracking, no hidden costs.

Who we are

HealthCalcs is a small, independent project built by fitness and web enthusiasts who believe that useful health tools should be free and accessible to everyone. We are not a medical company or a hospital — we are everyday people who wanted better calculators for our own workouts and nutrition, and decided to share them with the world.

What we do

We build simple, accurate calculators for common health and fitness questions: How many calories do I need? What is my BMI? How much water should I drink? What are my macro targets? Our tools cover body composition, nutrition, and training — the fundamentals that most people look for when starting or maintaining a fitness routine.

Every calculator on this site uses well-established, peer-reviewed formulas — Mifflin-St Jeor for calories, the WHO scale for BMI, the US Navy method for body fat, the Epley formula for one-rep max, and so on. We cite the method on each page so you know exactly what is behind the numbers.

Our principles

  • Privacy first — Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or transmit your data. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.
  • Accuracy over hype — We use clinically validated formulas and clearly state their limitations. No miracle numbers, no clickbait promises.
  • Free forever — All tools are free and will remain free. The site is supported by advertising so we can keep it running without charging users.
  • Speed and simplicity — No app to download, no bloated frameworks. Enter your numbers, get your result. That is it.

Tools we offer

Why trust us?

We are transparent about our methods. Every calculator page explains the formula it uses, where the formula comes from, and what its limitations are. We include medical disclaimers because we are not doctors — and we encourage you to consult a healthcare professional for personalised advice. Our goal is to give you a well-informed starting point, not a diagnosis.
